Born on April 18, 1990, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Keira was the beloved daughter of Cecil and Marcia Kessler. Growing up in King City, she was known for her gentle spirit and warm heart. Her family recalls a girl whose smile could brighten any room, a trait that became a hallmark of her personality throughout her life. Whether among friends, students, or family, Keira’s welcoming nature made everyone feel loved, accepted, and valued.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Keira’s love for others was rooted in her deep relationship with God, and she demonstrated her faith daily through acts of kindness, encouragement, and genuine care. Her life reflected the grace she found through her relationship with Christ living out her beliefs not just in words but through her actions.

Her adventurous spirit also took her across the globe serving in Thailand among the Hill Tribe children in Huey Pong, and traveling through Austria and other European countries with her nephews, brother, and sister-in-law. She relished exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating memories that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
A proud graduate of King City High School, Keira continued her education at Northwest Missouri State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations. Her passion for helping others led her into a teaching career, where she served as a third-grade teacher for the King City School District. Her students and colleagues loved her dearly; her patience, encouragement, and genuine care made her an unforgettable presence in their lives. Keira’s dedication to her students extended beyond academics she nurtured hope, confidence, and a love of learning in every child she taught.
Keira is survived by her loving parents, Cecil and Marcia (Davis) Kessler, her brother Ky Kessler and sister-in-law Johanna, along with nephews Sebastian Maria and Theodore Kieran. She is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, fellow educators, and members of her community.
Her family mourns her loss deeply but finds comfort in their faith and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. A visitation to honor Keira will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at King City First Christian Church, located at 200 E. Putnam St. in King City. Her funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the same location, with burial following in King City Cemetery.
